We look after all the rest of the process

Our collection path is a minutely elaborated series of steps. Each phase involves an invitation to the debtor to pay his debts and therefore put a stop to the procedure. From the first moment, your debtors know exactly where they stand. We speak clearly and negotiate firmly.

  1. We confirm the receipt of your request. In discussion with you, we determine the most effective collection path.
  2. First formal notice of default. Your debtor receives a first letter of default. All open invoices are entered into the information system either manually or electronically.
  3. The following steps… What happens next depends on the response from your debtor. Many hold their hands up after a first contact. They call us themselves to explain their problems. With the rules of diplomacy at the back of their mind and their practical experience to the fore, our specialists look for the best solution together with the debtor. They work out an instalment plan. Most often, things follow the normal course and the debts are paid quickly into your account. If this does not happen, then your debtor receives a letter informing him of the identity of our external collector who will now take over the case. In this phase, the dossier is handed over to our external service. Very shortly, the debtor will find one of our collection agents on his doorstep. If the collection agent finds no one at home, he investigates whether the debtor in question has moved. If this is the case we look for his new address at the commune. As soon as we have discovered his new address the whole procedure begins again.
  4. Legal proceedings if necessary. When the friendly procedure has run its course, Vrydagh & Boriau has a clear picture of the solvency of your debtor. If you wish to proceed further, our in-house lawyer and bailiff are at your disposal. With them you are sure of a cost- efficient and professional legal solution.
  5. If a solution is not found, then we provide you with an affidavit for your bookkeeping so that you can make the necessary arrangements with the fiscal authorities.
